Submersible ROV

I designed and fabricated this submersible remotely operated vehicle for a scientist studying striped bass.

Over the course of a summer, I designed and built a submersible ROV for a scientist at the Marine Biological Laboratory who required a device for observing striped bass. I was able to create a working ROV and controller and deliver it to the scientist. The frame consisted of PVC pipes, connection pieces, a GoPro mount, and pool noodles for ballasting. I opted for cheap bilge pumps for the 2 side motors as not much thrust was required for horizontal movement, and a more expensive ROV thruster to control vertical movement. (Unfortunately, I do not have a picture of the complete ROV after wiring).
