Module Tester

During my internship at Xos Trucks, I developed the second generation end-of-line battery module tester.

My work included electrical hand calculations, component sourcing, layout design, full-stack software programming, and prototype fabrication.

Module Tester Resistive Load Calculations

I calculated the requirements for the resistive load for each type of module.

I parameterized the previous version's code so that it is compatible with the new module specifications. I implemented logic so that the program can identify the type of module being tested and change the resistive load accordingly. I also updated the error messages to more precisely diagnose any potential failures, including recommendations for further inspection.

I sourced all necessary components and fabricated the first prototype.
